ARTS FIRST is Harvard’s annual showcase of student and college creativity. Ten years after Cuyahoga Arts & Culture (CAC) made its first grant, the public agency primarily based in Cleveland, Ohio has invested $158 million in 350 arts and tradition nonprofits and funded more than one hundred sixty individual artists in Northeast Ohio, making CAC the largest funder of arts and tradition within the area.

We’ve got worked with local, state and nationwide companies to gather methods you may support recovery efforts for the humanities, culture and inventive neighborhood. Google Arts & Tradition has collaborated with over 1,200 international museums, galleries and establishments from 70 countries to make their displays obtainable for everybody on-line.

Within the face of all this, I still believe that arts practitioners in Nigeria might make a head manner the second we begin to look inwards.

The earlier we begin to see the humanities as a serious business, the higher for us. Names like Chinua Achebe, Wole Soyinka, Ben Enweonwu, John Munonye, J. P. Clark, Niyi Osundare, Odia Ofeimun, Chimalum Nwankwo, Chimamanda Adichie, and so forth turned household names as a result of they believed in the arts and in themselves and took the arts seriously.
